Is there a "category" for transcontinental times in vehicles other that
cars? I'm sure there is for airplanes, and probably was for trains. What
about RVs?

Has anyone done the New York to LA trip in an RV and measured the time?

I can't think of a more appropriate RV to do it in than a GMC, adequately
prepped. :)

Mount a third fuel tank, possibly a fourth, put in additional filling
ports, and you'd save tons of time.

I'm not suggesting driving hell-for-leather.... but it might be a fun trip.
if the record is either non-existent or not so fast that it would require
ridiculous speeding.
