Ok so I have looked and looked for this leak but seem unable to locate it. In rear of coach on drivers side over bed. There is a seam on the roof for rear cap that I thought it was but no luck. Could it be coming under the AC and running to the rear corner. Windows seem ok. Do these units have leaks in all the same places or each one kind of individual? I hate to have to pull all that old cladding on the inside but will if I have to.
Thanks

Remove the little plate at the rear of the gutter where the rear, roof , and side meet. It is likely that the sealant in that corner is cracked. Use a polyurethane sealant that will remain flexible.

There is a marginally easier way...

Finding leaks in any motorhome is a b*tch. With all those cool
extrusions for water to run down a GMC might be even more annoying.

I pressurized the coach and squirted bubble solution all over. A bit of
a pain but easier than tearing the whole interior apart. Found leaks in
places that were obvious and also found leaks that I never could have
any other way.

Years later I have another small leak that I can't find. Not enough of
a problem to go about this again, but at least I know I can get there.

>I pressurized the coach

JimB does the same. I can't find his picture on the coop site, but I think he has a panel that fits the door jamb.

I have an occasional, very small drip about 2 feet behind the driver's seat on the Birchaven. I caulked the screws in the top rail and thought I'd found it. Nope. I think I'll try the pressurized cabin method.

Difficult to find that leak. The water is probably running down the internal gutter, until it finds a low spot to drip on you.
You might also suspect your clearance lights, both the screws and the gaskets are leak sources. I loosened up the light fixtures and put a caulk into each opening into the body. I also sealed the screws in the top of the lights, so water could not seep around the screws. Use crack seal, available from camping world, on the screws. JmK has double thick gaskets if you gaskets are failing.
Good luck.

The coop found and fixed several roof caulk problems that were poorly addressed by the PO. I'll take a look at the clearance lights again, though, just to strike it from the punchlist.

>crack seal

I did find one screw that seemed to slow down the leak to almost non-existent. I used silicone as that was what was on hand. I suspect that screw may still be the problem. On the advice of someone here in the thread about window gaskets, I just picked up some Captain Tolley's crack sealant to try.

Just fixed the same problem

First did the end cap of the gutter, that did not help
Then I noticed the way the water runs down after it runs out of the gutter:
All the water from half the roof runs through the gutter and then runs down the side of the rear window.
Now we all chaulked the top of the windows, but do have a closer look at the side. After I chaulked the side my bed is dry
I will reseal the window as soon as Olga finds a place inside

Robert,

If you have a storage pod on your roof you might have a leak or two at the mounting holes. That's where my long searched for leak was. Pod was mounted with a dab of silicon around each mounting hole. In time it leaked.

Sometimes the lens on the top marker lights has a crack that allows water
to enter and drip through the wiring hole.

Thanks everyone. I have found the leak I did not post about in the front. It is the Delta TV antenna. Running down the coax somehow. On the roof cannot see anything but it is drip of the cable inside. On the rear I think it is the pod. As the unit is new to me, I just noticed that the back panel of the closet seems to have gotten wet at some point and delaminated. I see the drip at the rear coming off the rear cladding on the lower seam right at the curve. I think the leak is farther forward and running down the extrusion when the unit is sitting and the rear is sagging. First nice day I get I’ll look into it. But in Michigan that may be a while. Time to tarp I suppose. Same for changing the front end to the Hubler mod I just bought. Anyone have a barn I could rent in south east MI? Thanks everyone.

Remove all of your upholstered cushions and open all compartments to allow free air movement and put a small boat storage heater in there to keep things from getting must/moldy while you wait for better weather.

I had a coax leak in a sob a few years ago an it acted like a funnel bringing water straight into the interior through the stereo. Shorted stereo was how it was discovered.

A product called, "coax seal" applied properly can stop the TV cable leaks. Whomever decided to install a cable into to the coach via a hole in the roof without a proper gland in just looking for leaks.
On my coach, with much interior water damage, there was no gaskets under the overhead vents, or under the two installed A/C's. Talk about leaks.
