First time posting to this list, hope I get it right. Had the 73 glacier
2 years, been trying to get it ready to go from one ocean to the other.
Used it to go get groceries today. On the way home, RF axle broke out at
the end and the bearing came apart, wheel and rotor came off, dropping
it to the ground and breaking the knuckle where the caliper mounts.
Applied has the parts I need and the price is expensive but tolerable.
The problem is the cores, as neither my axle or knuckle are usable
cores. Does anybody know if the knuckles and axles the same as
Toronado/Eldorado parts of that vintage? Someone is parting out a 66
Toro locally and I wonder if those are up to the duty of the GMC. Thanks
for any help!
