Emory, I have always thought we need a "return to sender" button. Somebody starts a virus send it right back to them...

What am I supposed to say to the hacker that violated my account and my address book?

Something like this?

"Dear Hacker
For security reasons I have changed my password to attempt to block you from my account. I know that at heart you are a very good person so if you want to do it again I understand. We are polite minded and forgiving people here in Colorado. "

NO WAY!

I emailed back and told him I had done a wire transfer to his son Mike and
asked Mike to forward the money to you. This happened to one of the GMC
Pacific Cruisers and I strung them along for weeks.

Personally I find the automated response humorous (probably how it was intended). The online universe is a tough place...

I once signed on to one of those social sites... it was book-face or something. Once signed up for the first time, the site told me:

"You have no friends."

Depressed me for weeks!

Rob,
Same thing happened last year with Joanne Hernandez (Pacific Cruisers). I
notified the hacker that I and done a wire transfer to her husband Bob
(real name is Phil). The hacker went nuts trying to get me to stop the
transaction and send the money direct. The back and forth lasted a week.
It was from the Phillipines. I enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed sending the
scammer from AU a photo of his shop that you took.

Steve,

I thought I'd explain why sending the scammer from Australia pictures of his shop was fun.

The address was actually an Aussie Post Distribution center I took at ground level at angles IMPOSSIBLE to get unless it was a
person on foot who took them.

Put yourself in the scammer's shoes and think "how the hell did this guy in Arizona take these pictures?"

IIRC Steve told him that he had "people" who were watching him.

I have bought parts from Golby and found him and his people to be helpful, kind and I was able to get what I needed from him quickly. In addition, I had car trouble while I was in Orlando doing business and he helpfully used his mechanics to get a part and install on my Jeep on a rush basis to get me back on the road. His web site may be a bit touchy, but for me they are a great team. Jim T.
