I thought I would put those arms, and wiper blades on my GMC by getting the arms myself. They are not easy to find anymore. As you can only use one off of each Lumina. The left, and right are way different. And the arms are NOT easy to get off the Lumina. By the time you pay for the gas to go find two cars at a salvage yard. That's $15,or more. Pay the $15 for each arm. That's $30 or more. A can of the proper black automotive trim paint that will stay on the wiper arms. As the 25 year old paint is gone. $9 more. Go to the parts store to get the 2 complete wiper blade assemblies. Jim K includes them. That's $20 added on. Buy a step drill that will not match the proper angle of the the GMC angle. $12. And a day lost in the search and work if you can find 2 Luminas anymore. They crush that old stuff as it comes in. My advice in this case is to get them from Jim K. And the big thing. You'll have the hole reamed out at the proper angle from Jim K for a solid fit to your wip
er shaft. Do you really want to take the chance of having the arm suddenly strip out and STOP in the rain. Due to not having that proper engagement to the shaft on the interstate when you need them the most. It will not happen on a sunny day. I'm BIG into doing things myself as a former industrial arts teacher. And manufacturing engineer. But safety comes first for me.
