hello all,

I have a broken large slider window & frame and I was thinking about replacing it myself. Do our windows come out like regular RV type windows are is there something special?

like this one???

From memory that video is pretty much how the gmc windows are. After removing the plastic trim from around the window on the inside I think it is obvious there are some screws ro remove that keeps the window in place then it is a case of pushing the frame outwoods to release the seal. Reverse for replacement, there is a couple of spacers at the bottom that the frame sits on.

Windows. Are easy, just awkward. Go to Harbor Freight and get their double ended suction cup handle, it makes it much easier to handle. Get help in handle window. Use Sealent tape, not silicon to set the window. Fasten all window screws by hand, do not drive them home until you have the window located properly in the cut-out.
You have several choices for windows; OEM from donor coach, 2nd generation from gene Dotson, or 3rd generation fron JmK.
