Specialty of Dwayne and Sharon Jacobson. Consists of Earl Grey Tea, with
cinnamon stick steeped in the tea. Added to the brewed tea is Brandy, with
white creme de menthe. Top with an orange slice. Portions are in a coffee
mug, More than 1/2 full with tea, 1 - 1/2 oz Brandy, 1 oz creme de menthe,
1 orange slice. It is called Blueberry Tea. Packs quite a kick.

Jim,

Before the rally Dwayne told me it was called Stinger Tea and was one of Frank Sinatra's favorite drinks. I told him that I was the
right guy to serve it as I was born in Hoboken and my Mom went to school with Old Blue Eyes!

Regards,
Rob M.

I had to taste test each batch and after a few I was told the portions got
stronger. I had to smile when a woman asked me what was in it then said
she probably wouldn't like it but would try a small amount. Within minutes
she was back shoving the empty glass in my face saying MORE please. She
was back several times each time her actions showed it was having an effect
on her speach and stance.
Rob was helping and when he put down his glass I picked it up and drank
it. He did get more then filled a pitcher and disappeared for some time,
He said he was serving others outside. SURE!!! he was.

Basically - steep a pot of earl grey tea with a cinnamon stick. Pour the
tea in a mug and add 1 oz Brandy and 1/2 oz White Cream de Mint. (can
substitute creame de mint with Pepperment Schnapps) finish with an orange
wedge.

The Stinger is usually 1 oz of Brandy and 1oz of White Cream de Mint on ice
with a lemon twist.

What is also very good but more costly is the Blueberry Tea

steeped Earl Grey tea with a cinnamon stick (approx 2 cups of tea) once
you have the strength of tea desired pour then add 1oz of Grand Marnier
(orange Brandy) and 1 oz. Amaretto finished with an orange wedge (you can
soak it).

At the happy hour I left the cinnamon in longer than necessary. However
for those who were back for seconds - it didn't matter.

Best regards
Dwayne

Sorry I missed that blueberry tea and the stinger. Both sound good. Will
try them at home.

From all the complimentary comments, sounds like Coos Bay was a special
gathering. Again, sorry we couldn't make it.

G'day,

Being on the Hospitality Committee I can attest to the fact that for some reason (that I couldn't figger out) each subsequent batch
needed to be taste tested more times than the previous batch. I guess that Stinger Tea dulls ones taste buds as each batch DID get
more potent!

The lady of which Dwayne speaks was a tiny whisp of a thing, very small and thin. She tried to drink mine too but unlike Dwayne was
not successful; I kept a close eye on my second glass.

Jeez, Dwayne drinks my tea then accuses me of drinking pitchers full! ;-)

I just figger'd out why I was so popular at the Coos Bay Rally - along with serving the Stinger Tea I also wandered around with the
Margarita Bucket serving Margarita's that Dave deGraffenreid mixed the day before.

Hey Rob, That margarita bucket had to have been replenished Saturday
night. I thought that I had reached the bottom of it a couple of times,
only to stumble onto it later in the evening with an amount that I just
could't let remain in place. The only good way to handle that was to
consume enough of the remains to keep someone else from making a fool of
themselves. (very big grin)

Jim,

Yep, I kept Dave busy mixing Margaritas to refill the bucket! He was amazed at how quick it got emptied each time.
