When I removed the dinette to install a jack-knife sofa behind the driver's seat, I discovered I need to install seat belts like in the picture below. Is the body framing strong enough to do that in all GMCs, or did they add re-inforcement to the ones that needed seat belts bolted to the wall?

We really appreciate the photos. Looks like you have been busy.

Once you get a good enough internet connection to put copies on the GMC photo site, you really should do so. Picassa pictures will vanish into obscurity before the ones on the GMC photo site, and the GMC photo site is searchable, and you can add captions and reorder the series and so on. Lots of reasons for putting your GMC photos on the GMC photo site over any other site.

Appie,

Thanks for sharing those with us. You're doing a great job bringing her
back! You're especially to be complimented since you have to contend with
all the problems of distance from "her" homeland, the metric vs SAE
problems, and others we here can't even imagine. I'm sure she'll be
greatly admired on the roads of Europe though.

Thanks,

Ken H.

Sure does bring back many fond memories of when I had mine torn apart just like yours. It sure is fun working on these coaches. It's addictive, I can't stop even though I have it up for sale. Very Happy

Thank you for all the friendly words. Yes it is a bit challanging here with spareparts etc Applied it doing a good job though spareparts arriving in about a week.
Expensive
In freight and taxies though
As for the dash, firsth I thought I would get some exotic finer, but then I looked at the beauiful Birch plywood Iused for the lining, gled 2 layers of 4mm together and drilled some holes and then added laquer.
The thing is that now the same materiale Gores throughout the coach. I will ADD the same material on the small armrests (that holds the ashtrays etc)

For instruments It will be the oem speedo, a large 4000 rpm. Revcounter, fuel, watertemp, oilpressure, engineoil temp, trannyoiltemp and vacuum. The original telltale and Heather

By the Way. olga makes 22hg

Another vote for a very nice dash layout. I can only imagine the "fun" of getting parts Internationally and through Customs. Last photos is beautiful.
My wife and I toured Denmark, in a little tent camper many years ago. Great place to visit and wonderful people.

Well Trevor it is a bit funny You know we have 220 V around here . As I got Olga the PO installed a new 220 volts fridge, but bought a new roofaircon from the US witch is 110 volts. dont ask me why ! So he installed a 220/110 converter
So I installed a new charger/inverter 220 volt and 220 volt sockets around
I did have to keep the 220/110 converter just for the the ac

The charger/inverter is a Victron from Holland Good stuf with a combiner she charges both house and engine batteries, and turns the 12 volts into 220

i can understand the reason for the AC. I am about to do this myself
dometec 15000 btu ac

110 volt 650 USD
240 volt 1700 AUD

exchange rate 95 cents USD = 1 dollar Aust

dometic toilet
129 USD
400 AUS

i will probably do something similar to you
my only concern is the frequency difference

Yep If you get them while in the us thats right, but ad freight and taxes and you're on the same cost
I do not worry about frequency with crude appliencys like electric motors, but ask me again after a year ( the PO did not use the coach with all the new thing he put in to her)
