The odometer mileage on a used speedometer can be reset to the same mileage as your original vary simply. Once the unit is pulled out. You loosen the face. Then use needle nose pliers to pull the odometer retainer. Then pull the number rack out. Then turn the rack to the numbers you want. Good time to clean, and lube. The old belief that you can tell if an odometer has been changed. That belief is absolutely NOT TRUE.
