I am only 1 year into the olds and the coach but over 30 in the 67-70 Eldo.I have always had to stay with the stock intake cause of the hood.I assume it is similar with the coach or is there a high intake that fits?Anyway this link was sent to me,I have a
ton of space over the tranny.

You've got to get past the distributer before you get to the space above the tranny. That air cleaner won't work as depicted.

Try the jeep part that Jim K. sells with a remote filter.

From what I have read here, other intakes are too high.
But I like the idea of building one as in that article.

The distro is in the front proper on a Cad.Never could understand why some are in the back against the firewall.Always wondered why some motors have siamese head
ports as well.Seems silly to me both the heads and the distro's.Must have been a cost to build?

Cad,

It all machining issues for the ports and the distributor location is determined by where the lube oil pumps wants to be in that design. There are internal political issues with both.
