We use to have a Manny rebuilt transmission pre-positioned in Indiana for just this situation. It was stored in a temperature controlled room, and double bagged in plastic to keep it dry. Unfortunately it got used for someone's emergency and never got replaced. If we had it now it would have been a one day drive in my pick up to deliver it.

I guess I need to talk to Manny about possibly replacing it.

G'day,

Trevor, you'll be happy with that tranny, I have a transmission that was built by Ken in Double Trouble and it has over 70,000 miles
on it!

Recently it pulled all the hills to and from Branson no problem, it doesn't use any fluid, and I can hardly tell when it shifts.

BTW I did speak with Manny about trans fluids at Coos Bay and he noted that in a switch pitch trans it is best to use Mobil 1
Synthetic trans fluid because the fluid will run hotter when in the switch pitch mode. Any good quality name brand trans fluid is
fine for the non switch pitch transmissions.

I serviced the transmission in Double Trouble with Mobil 1 Synthetic trans fluid. If you decide to do so I'd suggest you check and
see if it is available Downunder, if not purchase an extra case.

Regards,
Rob M.

That sounds like a good plan to me.

It also sounds like Jim K. did a good job at finding a replacement for the "lost" one.

If you come down I-80 or I-90, stop on your way through and I'll buy lunch.
