Decided to go for it and work on the door so it closes and seals better. Been reading the postings, but no definitive word on whether to remove window or not. If I was to remove it what is the current consensus for a sealer. I already have the door panels off, had to replace the key set. As always thanks in advance.

Skip, when we replace our windows with the new style, rolls of sealant tape comes with them. I bet if you call Jim B he can sell you a roll. I know Jim K sells it.

Skip,

I have bent the living "stuff" out of our door. The window has not cracked yet.

You will not be bending the door all that much and the window is mounted in rubber.

Butyl rubber tape for window seal. Seals well, stays pliable, easy to remove. The use of caulks, silicon-based and others may result in a difficult removal if it ever has to be done again.
JmK, Jim Bounds, Gene Dotson are GMC related sources. Keep it in the family.
