My left side has started sagging about 1-1/2 inches when in Travel Mode.

Is there a write-up on repairing the height control valve available?

Any tricks or precautions when disassembling them?

Thanks.

Get a new one from Jim K or a rebuilt one from Dave Lenzi. I think both are about the same price so the new one is a better deal since you do not need to return the old core.

Rick,

Two tips:

1. Be sure you have the correct viscosity dampening fluid on hand before
you open a valve.

2. Let Dave Lenzi do it.

Rick,
The height control valve are not rebuildable by the average GMCer.
1. You need some unique tools to do it correctly.
2. You need the special viscosity fluid, about 20CC worth which cost about $400.00 a pint ( which is the smallest size you can buy it in). I found the supplier that Dan Lenzi got his supply from thru one of the Instrument suppliers I delt with when I was working for the Instrument design business.
3. As other have said, you can get them rebuilt on an exchange basis or buy new from Jim K.
