Hi Steve, no idea where R. River is but I have patched cable ends with crimp on connectors.

Gold Beach is only 78 miles from Coos Bay. I know JimK (and maybe
others) are traveling up 101 tomorrow and maybe if someone can get in
touch with JimK maybe he can help.
