Any ideas on what is happening here? I've hooked the panel up EXACTLY as it is shown in the instructions. This my old panel that I've used before, but haven't for a while. It always worked in the past:

1. The water temp reading doesn't go above what you see. This is with a second 180* t-stat I've tried. Both stats came from our suppliers, and both check out in a boiling pot of water. The original dash gauge shows a little above 1/2 when the engine is warmed up. I thought a t-stat was supposed to get the engine up to the t-stat's temp rating, and keep it there, unless it gets hotter than the rating.

2. The oil pressure is pegged to the right as shown, and never changes. The dash gauge reads about 3/4 when driving. Both the dash gauge and the DP come off of a split connector on the same oil pressure sender.

3. The battery voltage goes into alarm at anything above about 30 mph.

All of these conditions have existed for the last couple of thousand miles, without, it seems, to any detriment to the coach or engine. If I didn't have the DigiPanel hooked up, I wouldn't think there was anything wrong. Maybe there isn't.

Obviously I can't figure out how to put a small pic here on the post!!! Mad

<< hooked the panel up EXACTLY as it is shown >>

I'm sure, but I would disconnect one wire at a time to confirm each guage is reading the correct sensor.

John, you need to contact the company. I suspect a wire issue somewhere but take a volt meter and check the voltage where you have the unit hooked to 12 volts.
My oil pressure always stayed pegged. I had three different senders. Finally I broke down and ordered the one from Digi and it now reads just like my analog gauge.
Let me know what you find out.

You first need to immediately read the voltage at the isolator with the engine running using a good meter. Verify that the alternator is not going over voltage (15 volts on the center terminal, and14.3 on the upper and lower terminals). If it is OK, then the next question is where is the digi-panel getting it's ground. Many times the ground screw loosen's up on the back of the dash and the ground goes flakey. I would run the digi-panel ground wire back to the aluminum plate that the isolator is mounted on. Then I would check that the already installed wire from the aluminum plate to the battery is installed and making a good connection on both ends.

Open the DigiPanel and look for pregnant capacitors. The bad ones are still out there, when these were produced. Funky capacitors make for funky operations of anything electronic. I just took 8 out of a nice little ESE clock system. Failing that, since mine didn't come with a schematic, you're probably into sending it back for repair. I take the assumption you have changed no connections from when it was working.

So John, what have you done? I am interested in how you go about this.
