Took her to a local RV shop to dump the black and gray tanks last week. Today I blew out the water lines with compressed air (about 40psi). As I was holding down the toilet pedal, I checked the back tank with a flashlight. Still had alot of water in it. On level ground, the gauges showed the black tank to be empty, showed the gray tank 1/4 full (potentially not reliable indicators).
I had her down by my garage, so she was sitting at a pretty good angle, front uphill. I figured I'd go ahead and open the gray tank valve (gray handle anyways, closest to the outlet), but what came out was horrid green water, appearing (more accurately smelling) to be from the black tank.
When I was dumping it last week, it seemed to dump very slowly - is that normal? Should I purge the air from the airbags before dumping to increase the component force of gravity to increase flow? It came out like a fire hose today.
My folks have had campers, motorhomes, etc since I was a few years old, so I've done a few tank dumps. Every one I've done in the past has drained more like a fire hose.

Jeff,
I read somewhere that the two tank system on the Royals will do as you
described. I have never felt that the initial dump completely evacuates
either tank. I flush with fresh water until the waste comes out clear,
then add a gallon or two with a deodorizer tablet in each tank.

I'm just concerned about getting it all out with freezing temps coming very soon here. Filled both tanks 1/2-2/3 and will be dumping again tomorrow.
Looks like a PO installed gray/black handled valves swapped.

If you want to empty the tanks completely drop the left rear. Isolate the airbags and release all the air from the left air bag this is the only way I can get both tanks empty. P.S. Empty tank 2 (black tank) first close the valve then do the grey water Tank 1.
