What size amp solenoid is in the back generator battery compartment in my 76 Palm Beach?

I have a 50 amp solenoid is that big enough?

Bruce,
You might want to get one rated for a higher amp load. Looking at the wiring schematic there is a 60 circuit breaker right near the solenoid that connects the rear battery to the front. The solenoid is used to bypass the circuit breaker when a higher amp load is required such as helping start the coach. I would suggest a 80 to 100 amp unit at a min. It is not going to be a cheap item, will be in the $40 to $50 range. Although it is used intermittently you really want a continuous duty solenoid as they are more robust and durable.
