Took out the rotten passengerfloor and got a good look undeneath
In the concerterbell is a4 inch round hole. Should that be open wirhout a cover ?

Appie,
The hole that you refer on to originally came with a metal cap that covered the hole. It is an inspection hole and it you do not have the cover then do not worry about it, your fine without it. A lot of GMCer don't have them on their transmission either.
