Hey, everyone. I have a few leaks in my roof--most notably in the rear passenger side and a few drips in the front--and was wondering what people use to seal the roof. Is butyl tape underneath the various vents enough, or do I need to use something like Dicor self-leveling sealant as well? My roof is clean right now--none of the sealant mess that you typically see on SOBs.

I highly recomend Schnee-Morehead Acryl-R sealant. Harder to find than Dicor though.
It is self leveling. Run a bead, then brush it out with a 1" disposable brush
Be sure to clean with solvent [I use brake cleaner] also cleans up a mess.
Long term the Butyl tape will not be sufficiant

I had a fairly major leak which appeared to be coming from the left side center window (kitchen window in the Royale), or from the rear of the left driver's window. Prob had been there for quite a while as the top two drawers in the kitchen cab are virtually ruined from water damage, the thin wood on the wall in the area too. Hung out in her while it was raining one day to see where the water was coming from. Looked to be coming from leaks in the roof, running down towards the windows.
I sealed the four roof seams and covered the rivet heads with Sikaflex-715. Non-solvent based, semi self-leveling sealer. I still need to seal around the vents, etc, as there are still a few drips during a heavy rain. Fairly expensive stuff (about $15/tube), but since it's not solvent based, it'll last a very long time. I was told the solvent based self-leveling sealers work well for ~4-5yrs.

Bryan,
Sealing around the vents are rather straight forward with material people are suggesting.
Look ot for leak at lights, cracked lense, inner gasket in the light will cause water to run down into the headliner.
The seam at front and back is always a tough on to seal as it is structural and when you walk on it the seam can open up.
You might consider putting in mer pop rivits in that area after pumping in a adhesive/sealent material.
Jim B has some 3 M part # he will share with you.
We have similer material, but not proven.
