Greetings,
Since arriving home from my harrowing trip to AZ where if it weren’t for Steve Ferguson we might still be there, gremlins have surfaced in my 78 Royale…

On the way home the high/low beam switch connected to the turn signal stalk on the Caddy steering column broke and now I have no headlights at all. I was hoping that if I sprayed contact cleaner in the openings to the column it might work, but no such luck. It doesn’t click when pulled like it did when working, so the switch inside is probably history. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement unit? I’d like to repair it myself, so is there a schematic or instructions on how to perform the repair?

Then the air bag system is on the fritz. I have the second generation system with the three toggle switches on the panel under the driver’s side window. The system stopped working all together, so I went to fill the bags from outside at the shrader valves, but it was taking so long to do with the small compressor I had available I tried to switch the system on, and it worked. The problem is that the left side won’t turn off. The compressor keeps running unless I pull the fuse. Once I reinsert the fuse the compressor starts and just keeps running. The right bag was not affected and works properly. I removed the switch and cleaned the terminals, but it looks like that it’s not the problem.

Anyone have any ideas, suggestions, comments?

Thanks,
