Two things I hear a lot of from my Rand-McNally are, "Speed Warning" and
"Recalculating".
I have it set for "shortest distance" but it doesn't seem to know that
going 6 blocks past where I'm going, then turning back to the destination
is not the shortest distance.

The Tom Tom I have allows you to upload voices and I got John Cleese and Billy Connolly; lot's of fun listening to them giving
directions!
