So in my newly acquired 74 CanyonLands there is a duct that appears to feed off of the back bed heater that has a cap and an out that is sitting behind the 2 little cabinet doors in the side bath....firstly it looks dangerous and kinda goofy. Secondly I bet the only way it would even sort of work is if the little cabinet door is open. Thirdly there is a lot of shall we say decaying crud back there I would not want to breath....Gang of experts what say you? Thank you in advance for wisdom, jokes, or anything you got!

Pretty much a waste trying to get heat that far from the furnace. I unhooked mine. Just leave bath door open to get heat out of hallway.

I think that is providing just enough heat to keep the pipes from freezing in the winter. Certainly not enough to make the bathroom warm. I left mine alone.

That is just one of the differences with a GMC fit 23. The heater is under the galley just behind the door and that duct runs to the head and the outlets in the rear bedroom. If you close up the head when the heat is running, it can get real warm in there.

Supposedly the 26 GMCs have a booster blower below the stove that pushes to to bath 'dryer vent' register. However many were factory wired reverse polarity on the 12V color codes so the blower ran reverse rotation and did very little other than use battery time. Rumor or fact???
