Situation:
Cheap Chinese grease guns don't use a keyhole slot to hold the follower puller anymore, they use a toggle plate like a screen door holder.

Problem:
Once you coat that bar on the follower puller with real good moly loaded grease, the toggle won't hold it again.

Story:
I loaded my new HF grease gun with Valvoline SynPower. It wouldn't prime. So, I decided to do what I have rarely had to do in the past and pack the piston so it would prime. When I tried to pull the follower back, it would not lock back. After some strange rigging and contortions, I managed to get my 7$ grease cartridge out of the POS and and packed it up to go back.

Back story:
Our successful GMC season has had some interesting side effects. Like when you put three or four times more mileage on the coach than you have in most prior years, you have to do more maintenance. This means greasing it a lot. Well.

I decided to get another grease gun. I thought about air powered, but I don't like them because you can't tell if grease is actually going in, they just keep chuffing...

But I wanted a flexible nose with pistol grip to make greasing the famous 14 fittings in the front of a GMC less stressful. So I shopped and found that everybody - Except Lincoln - sell grease guns off the same Chinese tooling. So, I went with HF. After the above greased gun wrestling match. I went and spent the big bucks (1/4 of a fuel fill) on the Lincoln. The Lincoln number says it is made in India with Lincoln quality control. It works, but I won't know just how well until tomorrow or Saturday.

I will append this thread.

Matt
