Steve,
I too am re-painting the cabinets as well as the wall panels.
This what I am in the middle of doing:
scuff the formica with a fine grit paper (Ieven tried the belt sander, this worked well but was a bit heavy handed.
clean with thinners
fill th PO's holes and scuffs with body filler
sand again..... and again
spray with Krylon Fusion (several coats with a light sanding each time)
So far this is wortking well and I expect a good looking job when finished.
Walmart has these cans often for around $6 each
While the cabinets are out and their doors are off I and lining the inside with a dark grey non-woven cloth.

Hey guys...
Im unsure how I would go about repainting the interior cabinets? Id like a lighter color, so here is what Im contemplating as a major winter project:
All upper cabinets are out of the coach. The bathroom and lower cabinets will be done in place...
Here are my proposed steps:
1) Scuff with sandpaper (grit yet to be determined. Ideas?)
2) Clean with thinner/degreaser
3) Paint with Kilz Sealer/primer
4) Top coat with Krylon Fusion spray can paint.
Do you guys think this will work? Im open to new ideas or methods?
This will happen prior to re-doing the ceiling panels. The old panels will be removed prior to the start of the cabinet re-paint.
Thanks...
Steve
