Recently purchased GMC. Generator will start but no power. PO said rodents chewed wires. We took it to RV shop. They said someone had tried rewire by bypassing the control board. RV shop said control board was bad. They called Onan who could get a refurbished board for $800+ labor. But then we don't know if other parts may be needed after purchasing the board. Could our board be refurbished at a better price?

Would it be better to put the money toward a new one ( prefer not)? I've read about new one not fitting the compartment.

We were hoping to have the generator for our trip to Branson since our dash stopped cooling. But we realize this isn't going to happen now. The best we can hope for is later down the road.

Any recommendations or advice would be appreciated.
