I just replaced the alt.. and need a way to adjust my fan belt without any tools
except hand tools

I used a prybar for years. But, recently bought the adjusters from Jim K. I like them a lot better. Much easier.

Really easy to put a prybar between the alternator and its bracket. Just hold the bar while you tighten the nut of the backside of the alternator. Then tighten the nut on the front brace and the nut on the pivot bolt.
