Hi everyone,
This past spring I installed the aluminum radiator I got from Applied GMC. Although we have taken several trips so far this summer, each time we took it out the temps were always in the 70's or low 80's so I was hesitant to call the AL radiator a complete success. Well this past weekend we took the GMC for about a 200 mile round trip with the outside air temperature in the low 90's. I was excited to see the temp gauge, for the most part, stayed squarely on the quarter mark and occasionally move to just barely on top of the quarter mark. So now can I can officially say the AL radiator has helped significantly to reduce the coolant temperature on our GMC!
Prior to installing the AL radiator, the coolant temp typically would be halfway between the quarter and half mark when outside air temps were above 90 degrees. So those of you who are are having issues with high coolant temps like I did, the AL radiator could be what you need to get the coolant temp down where it should be.
