I think this shows why this is inherently not a good solution. The parking
brake is mechanical (not hydraulic) for a reason. If your parking brake (or
putting the transmission in park) will not hold your coach long enough for
you to get out and set wheel chocks, get them fixed. Using something to hold
the brake pedal down is (in my opinion) a band-aid, not a solution.

I agree with you.
I replaced all Parking Brake componets including the pressure solenoid and
could not get my Parking Brake to function properly.
After I installed Disc Brakes on the rear, I installed a manual line lock .I
thought I needed a backup , so I cut a metal handle long enough to go
between the driver's seat and a compressed brake pedal to hold the Coach
long enough to place wheel chocks between the wheels .I'm single so I
travel alone most of the time.
So there are some exceptions.
