The new, Oct. issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines, page 58 has a nice write up of a '70 Toro GT. Even has a mention of the GMC Motor Coach which also used the 3.07, commanly refered as a 3.08 in factory literature? Also lists a couple of Toro restorer websites.

Also has an interesting response in Tech Advice on page 98 referencing tire pressure. Verifying correct pressure by measuring the temperature on each rib across the section of the tire. No direct mention of the weight load on the tire.
