Hi Rob,

Yes, that is a very good point that I need to start talking about more. Side to side weight balance, if it is way off, will have a lot of influence on handling. At the larger club rallies there sometimes will be a six wheel weighing and I think everyone can benefit from knowing how evenly the weight is distributed in their coach. In Oregon the weigh stations leave their scales on all the time so if the scale is not being used to weigh trucks, you can drive in and get some idea of the side to side balance quickly. Try it on your way to the three club Coos Bay rally the first week in October.

BTW, we have been abLe to work with the Mill Casino, Hotel and RV park staff to create more full hookup sites by putting two GMCs back to back on the really long pull through spots so we can now offer to move those who registered after all the full hook up sites were taken onto a full hookup site after all! So, it is no longer too late to get full hookups, I think we will be able to accommodate all who want them. Dry camping is still also available in a designated area immediately adjacent to the RV happenings for those who prefer the lower cost or who want to come just for the weekend. Hope to see you there!

Jerry,

There is one thing that NEVER gets mentioned. GMC engineers specified a side to side weight imbalance of no more than 250 lb on the
front wheels and 600 lb on the rear wheels; Chuck Boyd pointed that out to me awhile back. I suggest that owners consider taking
their coach to a Cat Scale truck weigh station and verify that the way they have the weight distributed meets that requirement.
Somewhere in my emails I've describe what / how to weigh a GMC on Cat Scales (snip)
