I have a 1976 Royale and am going to pull the Onan to do some wiring cleanup. After looking over the wiring diagram it looks like I should disconnect the wire going from the the rear battery/generator at the "Living Area Battery Pickup Junction Box", the fifth item from the top on this diagram:

However, so far I can't find this. The hot wire from the Onan disappears up into the coach and I can figure out where it goes.

Hi
I also have a 76 Royale rear bath. I have just recently install a new 50 amp system. My coach is an early 76 and the wiring does not matchup totally to the Royale diagrams. I think there was a lot of development at this time. The basic system is very different to the GM finished coach.
On mine there is an electrical box mounted on the back side of the rear Onan compartment wall. It is a square house type box and can be seen by opening the floor of the coat closet and looking straight down the Onan back wall. There are several wires and connections in this box. It is difficult to see and work in this area.
Hope this helps

Remove the onan battery. When you pull the onan drawer all the way out you will find a large junction lug in the right rear floor of the compartment where the Onan starting battery (may now also serve as house battery) cable joins the lead to the Onan starter and the feed to the engine bay for potential joining with the engine battery when in boost. Disconnect and wrap the ground cable on the left rear frame rail behind the Onan drawer first then disconnect and wrap the hots off of the junction lug.
