Looks like the same vehicle with two different front ends, the Camaro one possibly photo shopped.

The Camaro front end is photoshopped on the coach. the other one is real. I'm not a fan of the look of the mid 90's GMC truck look on the coach, but the skill is there. I have not seen a front end mod that looks as good as the original. It's like a jeep cherokee (not grand) they only look good stock. they look retarded lifted, and just plain stupid lowered.
The super crew taillights do look good, as do the dodge van taillights.
That shovel nose is interesting.

I looked that coach over when it was for sale at a lot in Tucson. As several people stated, the Camaro front end was NOT on the coach and was photoshopped. The other pics were actual photos of the coach as built. The workmanship was top notch on the exterior and the interior as well.

I agree that it's hard to beat the stock lines of a GMC... I do kind of like aspects of the Camaro front end, but the shovel nose does less than nothing for me... can't say why, but it just doesn't work (again, for me - YMMV).
The Cherokee IS a great example - many think it's still the best looking SUV ever built (myself included). The only thing I'd disagree about is that I think they look better lifted, as long as it's done tastefully and right (like mine)...

I agree on the lifted Cherokee. Mine is lifted 4" plus with 31" tires and you can hardly even tell it is much different from stock.

The clay model has a couple of key differences that are pretty standard practice for show vehicle vs production IMHO. The show vehicle does not have to be practical, just look good.
The windshield on the clay model has more rake and the bumpers are standard 60's thin chrome strips. This gives the nose less vertical frontal area.
That said, I'd love to be able to commission an attempt to recreate that front end on a real coach. I wouldn't want to do this on a complete coach, but there are coaches out there in need of front end repair that would be perfect candidates.
I'd like to recreate some of the other features such as the front wheel "blister" that moves forward to the headlights, and the mAtching rear wheel blister with flares.
The funny thing is some of the details that were not do-able in 73 now are - such as the frameless glass and the door glass and side glass match. Front wheel drive was an oddity; now it is the norm.
Way ahead of its time.

Yeah, that one is tastefully done. Most lifted ones have cut out fenders.

Not to belabor the point, but I wanted to add a (low-resolution) "before photo" of my Cherokee:
http://www.habcycles.com/prelift.jpg
While it is usually difficult to improve the look and balance beyond what the factory did, it IS possible. Like most GMC projects, I've put more work and money into my Cherokee than makes sense, but like my GMC, the vehicle is much improved from its factory mode, and is a great source of enjoyment to me.
I should mention that the next modification to my Cherokee is a baseplate for a Blue Ox towbar, as well as an electronic tow brake system.
