I just ran across this video from Stacey David of the TV show Gears. I love
the can-do attitude that he projects. This is a pretty basic video, but a
project that I will be tackling in the future. I presume that using the
products from SEM (?) will have similar results.

Guy, I have used SEM vinyl dyes on over 20 restoration projects, including
my GMC and the stuff is great. The demo is correct in saying that you have
to clean the heck out of anything before painting. I don't use any
silicone products and they're not allowed in my shop. The crap gets on
everything. Even sandblasting will not remove silicone, it just imbeds it
and contaminates whatever blasting medium you are using. Clean and prep is
the secret. This is the first time I've seen a vinyl primer though. I
don't believe SEM has that product in their linup.

I used SEM on my dash and side panels four years ago and they still look good. I didn't use a primer. The color matches the tan Odyssey seats.
