My pod was broken by the previous owner and they had attempted a repair with JB-Weld. I finally got around to re-doing the repair. It isn't perfect but certainly serviceable and looks good from a distance. Pictures of the process here:

What product did you use to make the repair?

It was in the captions on the photos but easily missed. I used West Systems epoxy resin on bi-directional fiberglass cloth. Even the cheap Bondo or Evercoat fiberglass repair kits would work if you scratch up the interior surface and clean well with acetone. The acetone softens the pod plastic a bit and the resin seems to bind well.

Mike,

Sorry, but I beg to differ....
You went for Top Shelf and were rewarded be doing so. I have been working fiberglass for 50 years and I can tell you there is no better product than the West System kits.

If someone wants to know more contact me directly rather than burn forum bandwidth. I will burn your ears with bad experiences with other materials and systems.

Matt - On vacation and not fixing anything - today.

I agree Matt and use exclusively West... I just know that many balk at the
price and local availability of West Systems. I raced against Jan and
Mead Gougeon in Michigan and have only used their product since I met them.
I haven't been doing it for 50 years but just about 30. In a pinch, I
have used evercoat like kits and they are not horrible but you do have to
be careful and not use them where structure is critical.
