Since the topic on my Onan woes seems to be drifting I thought I'd start a new one on the question of synthetic vs non-synthetic oils and either's propensity to leak.

The late Bill Telgen switched to Amsoil products at some point in my coach's life. When I changed oil I went to a synthetic product. In neither case have I had an oil leak from the engine.

I haven't put mega miles on the coach, but so far the oil usage is minimal (except for the Onan) and I can't see a difference in the two.

I'm not really sure what Amsoil is, but it sure makes a mess when you get it on your hands or head.
