It is that time of year... a warning based on my experience. Red squirrels are nesting in the midwest. They will attempt to get into attics, outbuildings, sheds, cars and RV's that are accessible. They will shred insulation, cardboard, fabric, foam, and chew through wiring, plumbing, etc. Watch for shreaded paper and what looks like mouse droppings in your buildings and vehicles. Other telltale signs are hickory and walnut shells in small piles around above locations. Rat traps with peanut butter work best. Live trapping is consider inhumane as moving them just leads to a slow starvation.
