I found the Coachman production number on the top of the frame below the ladder. Thanks to members on this GMCMI site. Side Note To ALL. Please remember that this site is PAID FOR by the PAYING MEMBERS of GMCMI. It is hoped that the site will get people to JOIN GMCMI. My take is that if you can afford one of these MONEY PITS. You can afford the DUES. May be just before our names at the end of our e-mails. Members should put Member GMCMI. I'm going to start doing it. Back off of my soap box. Took my DA sander and sanded that area clean. The black paint down in the stamping remained. Then sprayed some clear over the area to prevent rust. The numbers were then vary clear to see. A few days later. I masked the area of the VIN off neatly. Then painted the frame around the VIN black. This way the numbers can be found on the frame easily at a later date. We had no problem with Iowa, or Wisconsin over this. As most states use the number on the frame as the most important.
The thought is that body parts are often changed due to body damage repair. Need any more help. You can call me on my cell at 319-521-4891
