Have a shot at a 96 Tracker 4wheel drive automatic. Can anyone tell me if
that model can be towed four wheels down.
Thanks

4WD automatic should be able to be towed with the transfer case in neutral. At least it is on our 2003. It's flat towable with the transfer case in neutral and the transmission in park.

Yes, that us what I tow. It is recommend though that you replace the front automatic hubs with manual
Locking ones.

Thanks Emery . . . much trouble/cost to change out the hubs? I think I'll
try to get it.

Simple to change. Don't even have to jack up the front end. Here is a typical set

http://www.carparts.com/details/Suzuki/Sidekick/Superwinch/Locking_Hub/1997/S49400538.html?TID=80000000CP&origin=pla&CP=1&CP_SRC=PPC&0 03=27372932&010=cpsulohu97suzukisidekick19891998superwinchs494005381&gclid=COuHwuyq77gCFVNo7AoddnIAvA

You might even find them cheaper if you search.

The Suzuki Sidekick Is identical to the Geo Tracker.

You would be replacing the automatic one on the car with the manual ones.
