Got the rebuilt 403 back in the coach today.

All clean and pretty with fresh paint, rebuilt engine by John Beaver in Americus GA. Manny Tranny with Power Drive, New (to me) 321 differential.

My neighbor Bo came over to help me get it back in the coach. Took about an hour and a half counting fighting in the bolts on the motor mounts. Dang, that motor has to be sitting JUST RIGHT!

Now I have a few days putting in all the pieces parts. Still haven't decided if I'm going to put the headers on or not. My manifolds are good and I don't really think the headers will help much on an engine that runs at 2500-3000 rpm will they? And the exhaust system will be much easier to reinstall for the manifolds vs building a bunch of new stuff for the headers.

Also have to finalize where I'm going to mount my new oil cooler.

Btw, this air over hydraulic jack from Harbor Freight is worth its weight in GOLD!. It's currently on sale.

It's an 8 ton jack and it will lift the whole coach 6" in about 30 seconds with no effort.
