G'day,

Well Helen got here on the 18th along with a sinus infection and cough, after 12 days in the terrific Texas temperature torrents the
coughing has minimized and she's feeling perkier.

I on the other hand have been feeling kinda crappy since last Friday; I attributed it to what I THOUGHT (and Helen as well) was a
boil that was coming up on the rear part of my left leg upper thigh. Helen was putting ointment on it to draw it out but it just
kept getting worse and I was feeling worse.

Yesterday I decided I'd better go see a quack to find out if it needed lancing. At any rate after determining out how to get a visit
to a clinic covered by my Aussie travel insurance off I went. Got to the clinic, filled out the obligatory forms and waited for the
doc. Nurse came in and wanted me to put on one of those backwards robes but I told her the location of the boil didn't require it..
A few moments later the doc came in, I unbuckled my belt and dropped my shorts.

The doc IMMEDIATELY noted; "son, that's NOT a boil! That's a BROWN RECLUSE SPIDER BITE! - looks pretty nasty - when did it happen?"

"I don't know - Thursday / Friday?"

"Good thing you came in, in a day or two you would have had dead flesh around it." "We'll give you three shots and three
prescriptions and that should take care of it." "You'll start feeling better by later this afternoon from the shots."

After leaving the office I went over to Lowes to get a fogger to kill the little bastard if he was in the GMC as I damn sure didn't
want Helen getting bit too.

I got a product to spray on the grass around the GMC to set up a kill zone and some foggers for the inside. This brought on an
interesting story. There were two foggers on the shelf made by Hot Shot. One was in a green box and noted that it killed spiders
(except for brown recluse); the second in a blue box killed spiders (no note in brackets). This caused a dilemma - did the second
kill brown recluse or not? Simple solution - call Hot Shot's customer service line.

Conversation went something like this:

Hi, I want to buy a fogger that kills brown recluse spiders and am at Lowes looking at two of your products, one's in a green box
and notes kills spiders (except for brown recluse) the second in a blue box kills spiders and there's no note after it.

My question is does the product in the blue box kill brown recluse spiders or not?

What's the produce code?

179277-587933

I've called up the item and it doesn't tell me whether or not it kills brown recluse spiders or not.

I'm sorry but that doesn't help me; I need to have a positive yes or no.

I can't tell, maybe it does maybe it doesn't?

How can I find out?

I don't have the specs so I can't tell you.

Can I write in and find out?

You'll get the same response, probably.

OK, well thank you.

I bought the blue product and fogged the GMC last night, so we're back in motel for a couple of days.

Regards,
Rob M.

PS - I am going to send an email to Hot Shot and see what kind of response I get it writing!
