The news article above indicates that Iowa is heading down the ethanol blend only road. Predicting a 25-30 cent per gallon jump this fall for regular unleaded (no ethanol). The article states this is in response to what consumers want; I'd argue it's not what consumers want but the result of the state tax break that makes ethanol cheaper than regular unleaded, and consumers want the less expensive product. Either way, it's going to get more quite a bit expensive and probably more difficult to avoid running moonshine blend.

Next step - forced 15% blend, and look out for more. Glad that I have no reason to go back to Iowa in the GMC.
