Hi all,

I received a Black List call from Mark (crs can't remember last name) who is
a GMCNet subscriber. He and his family are on their way home to Scotts
Valley from the Lake Tahoe area and broke down north of Sacramento in the
town of Rocklin.

Mark had a local mechanic do a quick study and concluded that the knocking
noise he's hearing from his 455 (1973 23') is probably a rod knock. He's all
set up for a tow home ($$$$) and is currently waiting for the tow, but I'm
reaching out on his behalf to see if anyone knows of a reputable shop in the
area who can handle a GMC and can work on his engine. Sadly I wasn't able to
give him any first-hand experience with a shop.

Anyone?

Email or call me if so.

Thanks,

Guy Lopes
