I have finally gotten around rebuilding the Dana. New heads and pistons etc. from JimK. all in all it looked pretty good. No big scrapes, but one side was a bit tighter than the other. I timed it one up and one down. How critical is that setting. It could be off by a tooth or two.
To fill just the tank it takes over 4 minutes from 90 to 120 and it really struggles to the point of blowing the fuse if I let it go over 5 or 6 minutes. One side is hotter than the other and seems to relate to the tighter fitting piston. However, they both do move smoothly. It just seems like it can't handle the pressure.
Thanks all! I'm curious to hear how well these things should really work.
