I have been working on this 73 for a while now. Got it stretched to 30'. Just finished upgrading to 4 bags and mid-disks. I'll add some more pictures as I go along. Just something to do.

Tom,
You need to go back and make the albums open and not personal. Only you can get in and see them when it is a personal album.

Tom, while we have never needed more than 26 ft. I believe you are doing a very nice job. Wish I lived close enough to see your work in person. Thank you for the pictures.

When I first bought the coach, I went to put gas in it. Half of the fuel went on the ground. After looking into the problem, I decided that the design was vulnerable to not only heat but collision damage and since I would be sitting near it, I moved it to a more logical location. Fills fast and easy.

It looks very nice.  It's my plan to do something similar.  Did you scavenge the body parts from a donor coach and fiberglass it in place?
One difference in mine will be to raise the body slightly so I'll have enough room for the horizontal fill tube above the frame.  My fuel pumps now occupy the space where the old tube was.

You have to use Epoxy. I cut up another coach for parts.

Tom,
In the Buskirk Stretch coaches the body was raised 2" up off the frame. That is 2" square tubing at each cross member and 1/4" rubber pads and the front and rear body mounts were raised 2" to make up the needed clearance. That helped several things, did not require building a dog house for the engine cover if you want to use an aftermarket intake manifold, it also provided clearance for the air lines and other items that you may want to run under the coach.

Tom,

A caution on the gas fill vent - pictures DSC02368 and DSC02360 show the hose going to the back tank is collapsed where it is tied to the fill pipe.

Sure wish my fuel fill was located like that.

Thank you very much for the pictures. I am sure you noticed what Hal pointed out, easily fixed. I wonder why we can' do something similar on our 26 footers? Any help in getting fuel in the tanks will be good.

Dan,

I can run any pump at flat out until I'm with about 3~5 of full, then 30 seconds at the half stop and you can't get any more in and if the vent thing isn't good it will be leak fuel in the front right.

All you have to do is take the T out of the fill vent and run two lines up to the cab floor and put the T there. That way, since the main (rear tank) always fills first (that is how liquids flow) it won't be stopping up the fill vent for the auxiliary (front) tank with liquid fuel. I've forgotten when I wrote the whole thing up.

This even works with urban crapahol fuels.

Matt, I am going to be dropping the tanks one more time to install my new fuel pumps. I plan to do just what you say.
Thanks,
