I realize this post is useless without pics, but I was too busy ooo-ing and aah-ing over all the neat coaches and projects underway.
Jim was busy as hell, yet managed to give this un-announced visitor a quick tour of the facility, and a few tips and words of wisdom I sorely needed. Got to hear Jim's olds 350 project, and met RickF and his gracious wife, who gave me a tour of their impressive coach. There are gadgets on that thing that would even make "Q" envious
We drove down from Columbia, so I was able to pick up a set of extinguishers for the Birchaven as well as some block off plates and exhaust manifold gaskets.
Jim, thanks for the hospitality and words of encouragement. I hope the next visit I'll be driving the Birch.
76 Birchaven - "Wicked Mistress" - New engine, trans, alum radiator, brakes, Sully airbags, fuel lines, seats, adult beverage center... those Coachmen guys were really thinking about us second hand owners by including that beverage center...
Columbia, SC.
