Does anyone know how much fuel is consumed (gallons per hour) in a 6w Onan generator.

Hi Bruce,

Under average load the Onan should be around 1 GPH or less.

I can't tell you about a 6kW, but my 4kW will burn 0.46 gal/hr running one 15KBTU A/C and charging the house bank. Running unloaded it burns about 0.28 gal/hr.

I have always heard .5 to .8 GPH depending on electrical loading. I have never measured it myself.
