Success!
I arrived early in the morning and dug out of the hole, faced the Wasp
Menace, and had the Royale pulled out and sitting on the concrete ready to
go by the time Tom got there at 8AM. He brought some 2-meter handietalkies
so we were able to communicate, with him serving as my chase vehicle.
It was a 30 mile trip from the storage place (south of Jackson MS) to the
new place (east of Jackson MS). It went for the most part without incident.
When I got to the new place, I pulled into the what I thought was my space,
but I turned out to be incorrect. But he coach wouldn't start. The starter
wouldn't even make a noise.
After some head scratching I craweled under the coach and wiggled the
wires, tracing where they went so I could find the starterl. Hoping it was
some sort of hot start problem, I asked Tom to try it again. It cranked! It
also produced a bunch of sparks, telling me that the wire is frayed and it
was probably shorting straigt to ground when I tried a few mintues earlier,
and the wiggling as I traced the wire was just enough to clear most of the
dead short. I think I also have an oil leak.
Regardless, the coach is MOVED to its new home!
Now I can sart work on the Palm Beach. Joy.
Of course there is video.

Many MANY thanks to Tom and Marily and my wife and to the GMC Net for all
the help, advice, and moral support.

Jim, I think that is an excellent idea. Maybe if I get a cover for the GMC,
I can throw some on the roof and that will take care of the
air-conditioners and roof pod as well.

Good suggestion, Dan. Maybe they would even include thst on the show. More publicity for the GMC Motorhome.
