My daughter, Michelle, had bought home some donuts last night but told the kids they couldn't have one until morning.
This morning 3 year old Lily woke her mother up at 6:00 am and said "Good Morning Mommy.. Its morning outside"
Michelle thought about the donuts and said "do you want a donut now that its morning?"
Lily said yes and went downstairs.
She got herself a donut.
A few minutes later she went back to her mother's room and said:
"There is a little girl in the house. She is three years old and looks just like me. She even has a band air on her arm just like I have. She has to live with us because her mommy died. Can she have a donut?"
Michelle laughed and said yes.
A while later Michelle went down to the kitchen and Lily was just finishing her third donut. Michelle asked her why she took three. Lily said "I only had two, the other little girl that lives here now had one."
I guess that is why they call it the terrible threes.
