Last weekend my high speed on the dash A/C stopped working, then was reading Jim B's blog and he was replacing one also, now is that a coincidence or what? Checked the #1 spade on the relay when set on high and zero volts. I have low disabled so it's off but speed 2 and 3 works, just no HIGH.
Checked online at local AZ, O'Reilly and NAPA for AR109 none in stock locally but could order. Yesterday (Monday) called my local GMC dealer, who's a friend of mine, and told the parts manager what I needed GM # 1115858, called me back in 10 minutes and told me that the new GM part# was 3989214 and he could order it out of Lansing MI (I live in CA)for $14 and change, I told him to go ahead. Today part is here, they already had some parts coming from Lansing so it was piggybacked otherwise it would be next week. I must be living right!
If anyone trying to get one locally from their GM dealer note the new part # 3989214 it also fits early 70's Corvettes.
This shouldn't piss of our GMC only vendors, at 14 bucks and no shipping not much profit there.
