I have 2009 Delorme Street Atlas and have found it to be comprehensive but maybe too many options to learn for the few times a year I use it. I want a new version but thought that Microsoft Streets and Trips might be more novice friendly. Any opinions?
It is almost exclusively used in the GMC.

I tried Streets and Trips for a while. I found it difficult to use the mouse pad and other controls while driving. Also, the glare on the screen made it difficult to see.
I got another Garmin and am very happy.

If you have a "Big Lots" store near you, they have reconditioned Magellan 7" GPS on sale for $99. Comes with all needed accessories. Includes lifetime map updates.
I have one and I love the 7" screen. Much easier to see in the distances the GPS ends up from the drivers position.

Good info from all and as always there is absolutly no other source for good info from real world experience then this forum. I don't know what I will do but will check Big Lots for that 7" gps.

I have been a fan of Streets and Trips for several years now. Started with
a Garmin but it was not very user friendly for us. I plot out the next
days travels with S&T, select the next RV park to stay in, then use that
info to program our GPS. I am blessed with the internal compass of a
tumbleweed and the GPS has reduced the stress on our marriage
considerable:<). Two trips ago I purchased the Rand McNally unit and
really appreciate the huge screen and some of the RV dedicated features.
We like it so much, the previous TomTom Go unit has been relegated to the
motorcycle and we use the R McNally unit exclusively.
